On Saturday 4th July the annual Pymoor Agricultural and Country Show takes over Pymoor, which is 5 miles from Ely on the B1411.
The Show has a traditional approach to agriculture, the countryside and rural issues, which is combined with non-stop demonstrations, displays and a full programme of main arena events, including David Seamark and his sheep dogs, Brookfields Shires working to music, gun dogs, dressage and show jumping training techniques and a parade of vintage vehicles.
Throughout the day local folk band Eel Pie will be playing for your entertainment. From 1.30pm onwards every dog can have its day by participating in the Family Pet Dog Show, the dog scurry and a dog agility challenge.
Anyone can try their hand at clay pigeon shooting with all the equipment provided under a fully licensed coach.
The Show has lots more to fill your day; country crafts, cookery, furniture restoration and flower arranging demos and livestock area with cattle, goats, sheep and pigs.
Spokesman John Pinnells says “It’s going to be a great day right at the start of summer, with loads to do for families and pets. If you have never been to the Pymoor Show before then why not come along?”
There is ample FREE parking with plenty of disabled spaces.
Pymoor Show is now in its 11th year and the highlight of the Fens calendar.
Your host for the day is BBC Local Radio presenter Sue Marchant.
