CHARITIES AGAIN BENEFIT FROM PYMOOR SHOW
Last Wednesday evening saw the final phase of the Pymoor Show 2009; the presentation of the cheques to the charities supported by the Show. The Show Committee was delighted to welcome the Chairman of Ely National Farmers Union, Brian Hobbs, who presented the cheques to the representatives of the Charities. The nominated charities were The Ely Stroke Club and E.A.R.T.H., both receiving £3000 and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI), which received £2000. Brian Hobbs also presented a cheque for £500 to Pymoor Cricket and Social Club. Cheques for a further £1000 have been posted to other local charities and organisations.
Also invited to the presentation were 2009 exhibitors, sponsors and supporters of the Show. Many guests remarked on how good it was to see the end product of all the hard work and effort put in by everyone. Back in July the Show day was possibly the best day of the summer and visitors poured in all day. Their loyalty certainly contributed to the largest and one of the most profitable Shows of its 11 year history.
