Jive Pony

Jive Pony was formed in 2005 by Rebecca with the pony Ronan. They performed their first ever show at the Selby Game Fair in a very muddy field in May of that year.  Then in 2006 Pymoor Show was delighted to have Rebecca and Ronan attend on a lovely summer’s day with no mud.Jive pony image    Jive pony image

Since then, Jive Pony has gone from strength to strength with their unique blend of vaulting stunts and equine dance, both indoors and outdoors.

By the end of the 2006 season, Rebecca was joined by Rosie who stepped in to commentate on the shows.

In early 2007, Rosie bought and trained her horse, Tinker, which gave Jive Pony the opportunity to expand their stunning display by offering both solo and duo performances, with Tinker's début performance being at the Three Counties show in the summer of 2007. The feedback showed what a huge success the new addition to the show was and Jive Pony were fast becoming one of the most popular features at many of the major shows up and down the country including The CLA Game Fair, The Royal Show, Ireland National Country Fair and many more.

Jive Pony have continued to expand on the original idea that Rebecca first had and the UK's premier female vaulting display team now have a diverse range of shows that they perform all over the country throughout the summer season, wowing crowds of all ages, from the young children to grannies.

Jive Pony and both Rebecca and Rosie, along with the whole Jive Pony display team, are looking forward to attending Pymoor Show for the second time on Saturday 2nd July.

Helping Charities

All the profit made by the Show goes to help regional and local charities and to support local initiatives and over £90,000 has already been donated. For 2011 the main charities chosen are Cancer Research, Aquarius Gateway Club, a locally based charity that helps adults with autism and learning difficulties and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institute (R.A.B.I.)

The Pymoor Show is not a full time business and it is organised, in their spare time, by a small group of people with ‘normal’ jobs – most of them that is! I would like to name my fellow Committee members and to also thank them for all their hard work. They are;

Julie and Steve Knowles, Nigel Fyfe, Jonathon Bye, Norman Golding, Matthew Golding, Sam Manning, Chris Jackson, Gary Palmer, Mike Tatton and Simon Wicks.
