The fourth annual Stockmen’s Dinner and Cattle Show Presentation Night was held in King’s School’s Monastic Barn on Friday 24th April. Pymoor Show Committee (the organisers) are delighted to report that 104 people attended, a fantastic increase from 3 years ago, when it started with 42 attendees. The On Farm Competition is gaining momentum every year and the judging had to take place over three days as there were so many entries.
The 2009 judge was Sally Horrall, who kindly gave up a long weekend in March to visit farms. This encompassed an area from Ely to Brampton, Lakenheath and Bury St. Edmunds. Sally was accompanied by Chris Jackson, the competition organiser and Andrew (Roger) Moore, who acted as the photographer for the event. Sally commented on the high standard of the cattle shown for her judging and the effort the owners had put into preparing the stock and their surroundings.
On behalf of the Show Committee John Pinnells, Co-Chairman, thanked Sally and Roger for all their hard work.
